Ashleigh was born and raised in South Lake Tahoe. She discovered her passion for the stage while dancing at the Marcia Sarosik Dance Studio. At the age of 8, she started choreographing for her mother, Dee Petrell, who is the Founder of the Lake Tahoe Children's Musical Theatre Company. Together, they wrote and directed numerous productions and taught film/theatre intensives during the summer at The Lake Tahoe Community College Kids Camp.Ashleigh and her husband, Josh, relocated to New York so she could pursue her theater career, performing Off-Broadway. After becoming a mother, she shifted her focus to a career in music and technology, spanning over 15 years. In her spare time, she continued teaching children's theatre to inspire, educate, and challenge students. Since moving to New York, she has built a reputation with her sensitive, energetic, and perfectly paced direction.Recently, she directed "The Wizard of Oz" and "Beauty and the Beast Jr." at Immaculate Heart of Mary School in Scarsdale, NY. Her husband Josh Jack manages the backstage and builds unforgettable custom stage sets. Her sons, Donnie and Nate, are enjoying the spotlight while Mom and Dad infuse the stage with enchanting wonder and awe-inspiring illusions. This past spring, after feeling a strong calling to reconnect with her artistic beginnings, Ashleigh took the bold step of establishing her very own performing arts company, Artist Odyssey, Stage of the Arts.Ashleigh and Ashley performed together many moons ago and they are excited to be teaching a Triple Threat Theatre Camp at The Studio this summer.
